This complex is pretty bad. The apartments themselves are okay, but the rest of the place is a dump. The "secured" doors can be opened without a key by putting in the very obvious code that the managers use and every tennant and their friends know. The pool is closed so frequently and they blame the tennants instead of just saying closed for maintanence. The equipment in the gym is never fully functional - In 4 months I haven't been able to go there once and find every piece of equipment working. There is at least one "out of order" sign every time. They make lots of rules and then don't enforce them. the parking situation is getting out of control, there isn't ever parking near by at night even though visitors are supposed to park in the designated spots, they haven't done anything to make that rule enforcable.
When I bought a house and needed to break my lease, they said they couldn't prorate the rent because it was Washington state law, even though they prorated it when I moved in. The management team is horribly inexperienced in apartment management and likes to make the tennants feel like everything we need is a huge burden on them. One day my water pressure went out and I couldn't use any of my appliances or kitchen sink - so I called them and they made me feel like a problem tennant. When the manager finally came to look at it, it turned out to be their fault and they didn't apologize or anything.
Also, the population is going downhill - lots of white trash moving in and the managers not enforcing the rules to keep it nice.

My thoughts exactly! (What is the "obvious" manager's code? This worries me...)
