I only lived at Boulder Creek for about 7 months, but wanted to leave an opinion on this website because I highly regarded it as an apartment search tool. I would like to warn you: do not use this site only to determine your furture apartment's worth.....many of those who post here are bad tenants upset at management.
I'd first like to state that the rent is way too high. I realize that Sammamish is a really nice suburb, but the prices are insane.
As previously posted on this site, your neighbors determine much of your experience here. I lived below a party girl and heard every move her guests and dogs made. It was especially nice when they were outside drinking until 3am on a weeknight and when she played ball with her 2 large dogs in the apartment. On the other side of me was an older woman who filed a complaint on me the first night I was there because of "loud conversation after 10pm." I consider myself to be a very good tenant and was extrememly upset my this. As you noticed, the walls are quite thin and you can hear activity in the bathrooms above you (toilet flushing, bathtub), but I have found this in many apartments.
The garbage issue has been mentioned by many posters before. It is usually overfilled and does smell in the summer, but I don't think that anyone can smell that unless you are in the building closest to it (which was where I lived and it wasn't too bad).
The staff isn't too bad. They are really quite pleasant, although they do have a big turnover. I didn't have any maintenance problems but one, which was a clogged tub on the day I moved in. It did take over 24 hours to fix, which was quite unreasonable. However the maintenance staff is very kind and will help you with odds and ends if you are appreciative, but should be speedier.
I loved the interior of the apartment. The appliaces are all new, the flooring is beautiful, and the bathroom is my favorite of any apartment I've lived in. I really miss these things about Boulder Creek!
The fitness center was always adequate for me. I really enjoyed that it was open 24 hours and it was always clean. In the summer, I encounterd some low class women at the pool one afternoon, but all other tenants I ran into down there were very appropriate.
The locale is really nice and I never felt there was a problem with safety, but the entire neighborhood really should have more street lights. There is a running trail a few blocks away. There is a great veiw from the apartments. The hill could be a problem for some older cars, so be aware.
There is no AC in this complex and it was really toasty last summer. There are too few kitchen cupboards, but it is managable. The storage is fairly adequate. Parking can be difficult because, as stated before, if you have more than one car or guests it is challenging to get a spot.
Good luck on your apartment search. Do go see this complex and decide for yourself, it is pleasing to the eye, but good luck with the neighbors. I highly recommend trying to get one on the top floor! qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
