Pros outweigh the cons

We have lived here for more than 3 years now in a 2 bed, 2.5 bath unit.

The townhouse: Extremely attractive on both outside and inside--high ceilings and spacious. Kitchen is small (can't open fridge and washer at the same time) but very nice looking and modern. Absolutely no problem with noise! We like our movies loud and the neighbors can't tell. We can only hear few noises from neighbors, but the kinds of noises you can't do anything about without living in a separate building: plumbing, steps up stairs, and like. Managment allows tenants to paint! Fantastic gas fireplaces! One unfortunate construction: air vents in closets seem to be connected between homes so our downstairs closet ALWAYS smells of the smokers next door. When smokers are outside, you can smell them throughout the neighborhood. You can close your windows, but these beautiful, high ceilinged homes are long and not easily ventilated in the summer. The floors do creak, but I have never heard the neighbors floors creak. Huge closets! Very pet friendly. But the home is generally wonderful!

The community: Parking is what you make of it. Everyone has a 2-3 car garage. We actually use ours, so we don't have a parking problem. Unfortunately, our guests do because everyone else seems to use their garage for storage and parks where ever they like, even in handicap spots. Trees conceal a lot of road noise and offer a nice "illusion of privacy." Place is pretty darn quiet, except for motor boats on weekends which all of Sammamish can hear anyway. Extrememly close to grocery stores, mall, movie theater, ect without feeling like you live in the middle of town! Not much grass around, but grounds are amazingly well-kept. Neighbors keep to themselves; most don't stay very long. Amenities JUST added! Access to exersize room, pool and hottub at separate but close property.

The management: Managment is much looser than communities with more tenants and needs. Office hours are sparse, but when you can catch the property manager she is extremely accomodating and polite. Maintainence is AMAZING! Prompt and helpful!

Note: Traffic in Issaquah is getting WORSE! Parts of the day, you would have no trouble, but other parts just getting to the highway (only 2 miles away) takes 30 minutes! Much due to uncompleted and continuing construction, but much of it is also due to increase in population of area.
