I found the Saxony complex while searching apartment websites about a year ago. I was moving to be closer to my job, and was thoroughly impressed by what I saw on the website, so I visited in person.
Saxony blew away everything else in my price range. I decided to rent one of their studios, and I'm so glad I did!
The apartments are attractive, both outside and in. My studio featured granite countertops, a full side-by-side washer/dryer in their own utility room, 9' ceilings throughout the whole place (including the bathroom!), a large walk-in closet, and an attractive half-wall that divided the sleeping area from the living room. The porch was a little small, but sheltered and reasonably private.
Maintenance has always been nice and reasonably responsive. I've had to call them back to re-fix issues that they didn't get the first time, but they're always very nice and apologetic about it.
The area itself is just about perfect. The grounds are attractive and very well maintained. Parking is quite ample, and I've never had to try very hard to find a parking spot.
Noise is minimal, especially compared to the complex I came from. I heard my neighbors from time to time, mostly the little kids who liked to scream in the hallways, but the walls are thick and neighbors are generally quiet. The construction is sound, too - for the most part, all materials are of high quality, the carpet is soft and thick, and the appliances are VERY good.
The lease on my studio apartment just ended, and my fiance and I have now moved into one of the three-story houses. Unfortunately, the house had a huge number of maintenance issues when we moved in - apparently the staff only had two days after the old tenants moved out to get the place in shape. Maintenence did come out first thing on Monday morning, tho, and fixed pretty much everything.
All of our neighbors are friendly and quiet, and even when the children play out on the big grassy area, we don't hear them much. So long as you don't get a house right on the main road, noise isn't much of a factor. And the places are just so beautiful!
I highly reccomend this complex! I love it here! =)
