Having lived at Saxony for the length of my lease, which was one year, I can safely say, do not move here. My wife and I lived in one of the 3 story houses and have not enjoyed it at all. Alot of that is due to fact that we worked in town and getting to work is a bear at best. Getting off the plateau is horrible, no matter what time of day you try to do it. The range of services that are offered on the plateau are horrible at best, and as I mentioned, if you do anything off the plateau, you have to make a day of it due to the horrible commuting options available here. I dread every day that I have to run errands.

The house itself is subpar at best. 3 stories, most of the square footage lost in the stairwells. A ----- to heat, the in floor radiant heating is horrid and we had to by several baseboard heaters. There is no insulation here so without the heat our place is usually mid 50s in the winter. The cost to use the baseboards, cheaper than than the infloor radiant heat, still runs us close to $300/month! In the summer, we had to buy a/c units because the place heated up to over 90 degrees! I lived in Arizona for 5 years and never had a problem like that! The extremes make the place very uncomfortable. To move any furniture up and down the stairs is very hard due to the sharp angled corners and handrails (width of the stairs is 36 inches).

Overall a bad choice, unless you work on the plateau. I have felt like a captive up here, unable to go anywhere without needing a solid plan due to the horrid driving condtions. The house is totally uncomfortable due to the lack of insulation.

The complex just changed ownership so I do not have any experience with the current office staff nor their response to maintenance requests.

I couldn't agree with you more on the quality of the townhouses. I'm currently living in one of the two story houses and the construction quality is horrible. Our Garage door has broken twice, the second time the only thing broke luckily no cars were damaged. Dryer broke twice, and we had to call on maintenance a number of times to adjust the infloor heat!

The infloot heating is perfect for apartments, but not houses. I have to turn the dial to at least 80 degrees just to get the upstairs somewhat warm. Not to mention the bill that follows.

Noise level is terrible, you can hear EVERYTHING outside!

Location is pretty bad as well. Leaving for work is bad, be ready to sit and wait.

I would recommend the apartments, but the townhouses are just bad. Couldn't agree with your review more.
