I lived here over two years ago. First lived at the studio apartament, which is really expensive for an studio, plus the studio is actully someone else's living room, so I had a really bad expriendce of having two young females (i'm guessing UW students) partying the entire day and night for over two months, no matter how many times I came and knock on their door, I guess they were two drunk to understand, but they kept partying. Not only that they would have a lot of people come over, specially guys, everytime they walked, I would listen. I called the manager's office numerous time, and nothing happened. Whatever you do, don't rent the studio!
When I signed the lease, the young female (leasing agent) told that after six months I was able to upgrade to another unit. Six months passed, I called very confidently to switch units, guess what'...I needed to stay there for another six motnhs, It was hell, I almost had a nervous breackdown. How unorganized they could be, I was in a rush when I signed the lease, but I never suspected that they could lied that way in my face. I was really disgusted. When I asked to talk with the leasing agente, she no longer worked there. They just said, you should have read your contract. I almost cried.
Then after the six remaning months I moved to another unit with a bedroom, (Yes I stayed here)...it was better, and more costly too.
The walls are really thin too, you could sometimes listen to your next door neighbour's TV. Other thing is that it's located in freaking Eastlake Ave. you will hear traffic, specially buses....oh I don't wish to remember trying to go to bed on a hot summer night and having to leave the window open and buses going up and down eastlake every 5 min. It sucked!
Parking is not included in the rent, and it's expensive. The good think about the building is that it's almost a new builidng, and it's really close to lake union, and to a off leash park. There are few good reaturants around, and a small grocery store, like a 7eleven thing. Nearest shops at Capitol Hill, if you don't mind the strange people.
Other than that, I rented here because it was close to my previous work, and the price I paid, was better than paying hundreds more for an old stinky brick building apartment.
Washer and dryer in unit was a big plus. Maintance people will come and fix problem, just call in advance.
If you clean before you leave, and return your apartment as when you moved in, in other words CLEAN, You shouldn't have a problem with refundable deposits.

How do you share the living room in a studio? thats weird. Is it like those rooms for rent that share kitchens?
This place does not sound like a place I will be moving to, Thanks for the review!

No you really don't share the studio with someone else....Just remember that the studio (2nd floor) is someone else's Living room (3rd floor)...but yeah don't move anyway.
