Horrible Place To Live

I moved to 1800 Eastlake in July and signed a 6 month contract. The location is great, but there is really nothing else that I can praise about the apartment complex. First off, management is horrible. Good luck contacting anyone over the phone. I would have to call continuously in hopes of someone answering. The management staff do not return messages, so I had to call sometimes 5 to 10 times before I would reach a staff. Not too long ago, the main glass entrance door (this is supposed to be a secure apartment) was broken and they did not fix it until 2 weeks later. People were free to enter and leave since the door was unlocked. If you opt to park your car on the streets, beware, because there are break-ins daily at night since the street is not lit and leads to underneath the freeway. Maintenance is awful. They would take forever to come and when they do, they complain about being there. The apartment complex is pet friendly, which is good, however, you will find that there is dog ---- all over the complex. The walls are very thin so you will be able to hear your neighbors from all sides (next door and upstairs). If you do decide to move into this god forbidden apartment, make sure you do a thorough walk through inspection of the apartment since they will try to take every penny of your deposit. They just took $140 out of my deposit for my blinds to be cleaned. First off, these are plastic blinds, and they weren't even dirty to begin with. Also make sure you keep records of rent & water payments, since they do not keep thorough records of such. They forgot that we were moving out and we had to remind them (twice) in addition to our 30 day notice. Good luck. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C
