2900 on First

Not so great From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/29/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   I have been living here for 6 months. Ever since I have lived here there have been big steel plates in the alley. The kind that the city uses to temporarily cover holes on the road. Well these have been here ever since I have. Management has no answers to when they will be moved. They don't even know who they belong too. Cars constantly run over them and it makes a very loud noise almost like thunder. It makes it impossible to sleep with the windows open. Very frustrating and a major problem They turn the trash compactor on every morning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. Which always wakes me up. My friend lives on the courtyard and she says that the trash compactor wakes her up every morning. I believe the building behind here is going to be made into condo's soon and I can only imagine the noise then. I understand the city has noise but around here it is a bit much. Parking is a problem sometimes. Like any place around here the parking spots are small and hard to get a larger car into. Don't get too close to the lines because you will get a ticket. If some events are going on in the evening the parking garage does get full. I don't know why but it does. I have noticed problems with the water too. The water pressure isn't great. My toilet usually doesn't flush all the way. It takes a few flushes to get enough water. The shower pressure poor if others near you are using water. The hot tub isn't hot just warm and didn't work for a long time. There is no roof view only a view of the other buildings across the street from the courtyard. There is only one elevator and it is very busy. Sometimes the wait for the elevator is LONG, esp. in the morning. And yes I have been in the elevator when the lights were out and when it didn't work at all . I think if you are planning to live here I am sure you can find somewhere a bit better.
