Total LACK of Competent Management
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 3/21/2006
Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
Management has consistently disappointed year after year. When tentants call to fix things in the apartments (leaky windows during rainy season, broken blinds, irresponsible dog owners, loud drunken conversations in alley, towing not enforced - people park all over the place) they say they'll take care of, and tenants have to keep hounding them for a follow through. They don't return calls or say they left messages for you when there are none. When the building is sold, I sincerely hope the new owners don't use the same nit-wits to manage the building. I feel bad for the maintenance crew; they'd be able to do a better job if the managers would communicate problems to them. Tenants are promised lease "incentives" and when lease is re-signed, "they aren't available for this building"; parking is no longer "free" as advertised. Management opens the office late (much to the annoyance of the answering service) and they aren't available or are considerably late during scheduled appointments. They get very whiny and petulant when you call them on their mistakes. I was really excited to move back downtown, but this experience has disappointed on many levels; there are many cool people in the building, but I think most of us are disgruntled permanently because of management.
