Probably one of the best things about this place are the views and the quiet. Floorplans are nice with a modern layout (but decor, appliances, cabinets are all old). Parking is fine, however I don't pay $50 for a garage spot, largely because I always could find street parking. Paying for "secure" parking where bikes are stolen and cars being vandalized doesn't make much sense to me. The landlord was trying to improve security with cameras and telling residents to not let anyone in who doesn't have a key. I have a feeling this is largely due to the area and proximity of the local high school. My car was maliciously keyed on 3 panels in Nov 2007--I assumed it was high school kids as many walk along that street. Since they're being taught in school that they are accidents and essentially highly evolved animals, it shouldn't be a surprise that young people are loosing respect for those around them. The worst thing about the building, however, is the smell of smoke coming in the windows from other units and the weird smells in the hallway. Definitely will be moving as soon as I find another place, but its tolerable. I'll be hard pressed for a view of the Olympics for the price, relative to what else is available. Management is nice if you're nice and respectful also, but she doesn't put up with any guff or bull.
