Don't let the outside fool you. This building is a rip-off and the unfriendly managment is awful. For the price we pay here, the building and common areas should be kept up nicely and at the very least clean -- things have just been increasingly left to go down hill. The current management has been here for about 18 months. They are extemely bad about the simplest things like just emptying the garbage cans. Recently, an overflowing garbage sat in front of our building for over two weeks. Now the garbages have been removed altogether. Moreover, management is never availible for the simplest maintenance needs. At best, they are extremely slow, and at worst, plain unresponsive. For the money, one would expect simple upkeep and reasonable amenities. This is just not the case here. The location is great, but you can find better for the money.

You're right - there are certainly no amenities here at 700 Broadway where I live: no gym, no froo-froo that no one ends up using anyway (be real, how many people work out at the crappy cramped gym your building might offer?) -- just saunter your silly self one and a half blocks to Gold's Gym on Broadway like I do! Why suffer a stupid apartment gym when you can have the real deal an arm's reach away? Expanse of free weights, another room of machine weights, a zillion group excercise classes... Oh, and drop off your overdue library book on the way while you're at it, the Cap Hill library is a block away (right next to QFC, may as well pick up some groceries after your workout). I just moved in at the end of August and I'm thrilled to be here. I've had a totally different experience with the managers (friendly, responsive when I moved in and followed up several times with me).

Who said anything about a gym?! I just want the lobby garbages changed and the carpet vacuumed once in while!!
