I got sucked into 700 Broadway because of the location, view, and layout. All really nice. But the management here is just so terrible. I am not sure why they haven't been fired yet. They never return your calls and are usually out of town without making proper arrangements so tenants can get basic services (such as emergency unlocking/trash pickup in basement/cable and internet hookup/etc,etc). When I do get them on the phone I get the feeling they have been smoking weed all day and can't lift a finger to save themselves. If you are the mangement company/owner of this building - please throw these people out on the street.

Wow, I guess as they say it takes all kinds.
While the vast majority or tenants are good, kind, honest souls. There are a few exceptions. The above review is pure lies and if your not happy here then I would encourage you to find a place that you are happy with.
Personally, Managing a building helped me get through graduate school and save money for a house, but you do have to have thick skin.
Professionally we would invite any and all prospective tenants to come see our grounds, check out an apartment, have a look at the stack ( literally) of letters we have recieved from tenants who leave the building and ask if they can write a letter on our behalf. We have a great modern building right in the heart of Capitol Hill with view apartments of Ranier, the Olympics, and downtown. We like living here and the vast majority of the tenants here are great too! You'll have to decide for yourself about us. We look forward to meeting you and showing you around!!
PS That glazed look you may see in our eyes comes with the territory when you have a 19 month old beautiful baby, its called sleep deprivation.
Be well!

Do you think having a kid excuse you from doing a poor job as a manager? If only I can use the same excuse at my work. "Hey boss, I can't meet the deadline because my kid is sick...Hey boss, I come late today because my kid's science project is due." Whether a manager returns phone calls promptly is a good indication of competence or lack thereof. You say people should move if they aren't happy. I am sure people live here because of the location. Let's not forget about the trouble and the extra expenses of moving. So unless the whole building slides off the hill, they will stick around in spite of you.
