For an "upscale" building, has poor service/maintenance

Frankly, this building is really disappointing. It's a newer building in a terrific location with the convenience of a washer and dryer right in the unit. However, the walls are thin and the construction materials are generic. Parking is also a nightmare. You can purchase a spot in the garage, but there is absolutely zero parking for guests.
I've paid far less in other apartment buildings where I felt like far more care was taken to be responsive to the needs and upkeep of the building. The "on-site" management does leave much to be desired. Managing the building seems to be an incovenient afterthought. When you pay such high rent in a nice building, you do expect someone to be available during the day for such simple things as signing for packages and keeping the garage and grounds clean. If that doesn't sound important now, you will be surprised how much that starts to get to you after you've lived here for a while. Unfortunately, the office is never open and it is hard to get ahold of them. People are right to post the criticisms that have been mentioned. It would seem prudent for the staff (and if not them, then at least the owners) to take the critiques seriously and start making some changes.
Also, rent recently went up by $100 dollars for those who have already completed their original leases. Notice for this change was given on the 6th (backdated to the 1st though it was posted on the 6th), which means people had until the 10th (4 days!!) to decide whether to move out, sign a new lease, or have their already expensive rent go up.
