I had a horrible experience with them. I got a last minute job offer in the area and needed a place fast and friends recommended that I should live on Alki. The rent seemed reasonable so I went for it. The management was nice but they don't do extensive background checks...only quick credit checks-so you never know who your neighbor might be. They told me the tenants in the apartment building were professional, quiet, and nice. My next door neighbors were sweet but the people below me and those on the bottom floor were nothing short of frightening. They were always partying and with poor insulation could hear everything they were saying and doing. Every other word that come out of their mouth were obscene words and there was also police activity associated with them. I also felt uncomfortable with the way the creeps would stare at me everytime I passed their place to get to my apartment. I felt very unsafe..and I've lived in bigger cities than Seattle. The music blared all the time and cigarette smoke would come up into my apartment. Even the annoying sea gulls were music to my ears compared to those creeps. When I complained the management didn't think they were doing anything wrong. The apartment itself was not great. It was dark and musty and the smell would not go away regardless of how much air freshener I used. There was also mold in the bathroom and the living room carpet. Maintenance was o.k. They did come in to fix some leaky faucets. Needless to say I left after a month and lost my security deposit but it was worth it just to get out of there.
