Great Location, BUT $$$$$ From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 2/13/2002 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002   I am actually still living in the Allegro. Like any places, it has both its drawbacks and its advantages. First of all, it's in a really great place.....if you go to school at the U, or if you work downtown, then it is so very convenient! But the price.....it's way too expensive. There are several other apartments which do not cost quite as much! Look around, because a lot of these apartments are located in the same area. Parking is a pain...you can park in the garage, but that is a hefty price also. Parking on the streets is limited to two hour parking during the week. Also, my roommates and I have asked the landlord about problems that we had, but the problems were not taken care of. Also, the water pressure seems very bad, making a short shower impossible. Recycling is hard to get to and inconvenient. The walls are way more thin than most apartments, so not only can I hear every song that my roommates are playing on their radio (even when it's at a low volume!!!!) but also, I can hear everything from the people above me and to the side of me. Basically, it's a great location, but way too expensive and with way too many drawbacks.
