Americana Apartments

Not glitzy but great! From: Nemicis Date posted: 9/28/2004 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2002   I lived at this building for three years and, unfortunately, had to leave Seattle not all that long ago. However, the Americana was home and I have many fond memories from it. It's not glitzy and it's pretty obvious how old the building is. But, at least when I lived there, the price couldn't be beat (especially given is proximity to downtown) and the apartment was decent even if a bit meager in the bells and whistles department. What made up for the ambulences (and no, the neighborhood was not as bad as one other reviewer stated) was the conveniences like the laundry room, the parking garage and spectacular views. Plus, the management is fantastic. Very nice, accomodating, understanding and I daresay they even became friends to my husband and me. If the purse strings are tight but you need to be downtown this is a great place to consider. Take it from someone who was there for three years.
