Mgmt notified us yesterday, by letter, of a break in that occured in the early morning the previous day. They did this to increase tenant awareness of "odd" or peculiar happenings. On the positive side, they didn't have to tell us. On the negative side, this place really should have some sort of video at all doors; its the inner city, folks! Common sense is in order especially with the cost of a lease at this location.

I am starting to get pretty concerned about security as well. The back door to the alley is constantly being left unlocked by people either moving in or out and provides access to the entire building. This is probably the way that most of the break-ins occur. If we don't hurry up and get either cameras or other form of night security I'm afraid the word is going to get around that this place is a soft target.

This place is one step above transient hotel. The management wants high turnover to encourage commissions. They charge excessive rent, fees and really do nothing to stop petty criminal activities.. drug use in the building to simply smoking in what is a non-smoking building.. instead its just "fines" and "fees" and arbitrary enforcement.
Management is a "joke" and the turnover in maintenance is another indicator of a real problem.
