I, like many others, fell prey to their one month free rent policy and friendly leasing staff. The place is basically a dormitory and caters to 18-21 year olds. How can they afford it' Well, they squeeze 3-4 people into a 1 bedroom apartment. The weekends are horrible because it becomes a party hall with smokey hallways. The doors are very heavy so as the kids go in and out of their apartments, the doors slam all night (or at least until 3am).
As for the elderly, yes there are many of them living here, but I don't mind them at all. They, at least, are respectful of their neighbors.
I need to also report that after a few months, my apartment is already falling apart. The paint is bubbling up (Note: all new tenants need to sign a form that talks about the toxicity of the lead based paint below. Yes, I still signed!).
Finally, I have not had the water tested, but I am concerned that it is not fit to drink. I have been filtering my water because it turns brown after you let it sit for a day. I use Pur filters (one on the fawcett and one water pitcher). My filters clog up after 1-2 weeks of use!! That means that I was spending $15-20 every couple of weeks just for my water filter. I can't afford that, so I started to buy bottled water to drink and cook with...
To all apartment seekers, please thing long and hard before you sign on the dotted line.
