Wall Street Tower -- noisy, badly maintained, $$$$

I have lived in Wall St Tower since last June, and I can't wait to leave. When we rented the apartment the building was being renovated, but the agent said the work would be done in July. That turned out to be a lie. It's now March and every day the building is filled with noisy hammering, power tool screeches, and strange (toxic''') smells. The water is frequently turned off, and the elevators are usually reserved for construction materials from about 8am to 5pm. I had to run down 12 flights of stairs last week to catch my vanpool because all the elevators were hijacked by construction workers. The building is owned by a big corporation with lots of other buildings, and there's constant turnover in the building office. The women who work there are very sweet, but (possibly because of the turnover) they never get anything fixed. THIS IS THE WORST DEAL IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE. People who can break their leases are moving to better buildings in Belltown, where overall it's a renter's market. AVOID WALL ST TOWER. If you want to live in Belltown (a great neighborhood!), try Centennial Tower or Fountain Court. They're much better deals.
