While the Wall Street Tower isn't a bad place to live, I won't be renewing my lease. It's old and depressing and the staff is nothing but a bunch of ill-trained drug smoking rejects. I'm convinced they tell the old timers who hang out in the lobby all day to go to their apartments when they are giving tours. I certainly didn't see them when I toured. If I had I would've run far, far away.
The Elevators The old timer smell that lingers in the elevators is a minor annoyance. Perhaps the most annoying thing about these is most of the time, one of the elevators is broken. There have been times that all three have been broken and residents had to resort to using the smelly garbage and freight elevator. Waiting 2-3 minutes for an elevator is stupid. It doesn't sound like much, but it really is.
The Concierge On the surface she seems sweet and motherly, but once you engage in a brief conversation with her you find out otherwise. I mostly just think she's annoying. I'm sure she's a nice lady when it comes down to it, but talking to the old timers everyday must have gotten to her. I'd be bitchy too if I had to smell them all day.
The Office Moving in was a good experience. Steven seemed to be the only person who actually knew what was going on. However my experience with them since then has been poor. When I woke up one morning to find someone trying to break into my apartment, I made sure to let the office know of my experience. The lady I spoke to was high. All I got was a laugh and that they were sure I was dreaming. I demanded a new lock to be installed. I haven't needed them since then and I hope I don't. Just a note, the front window of the Wall Street Tower entrance was smashed in a few months ago; apparently someone broke in there, too. The security is questionable at best.
The Toilets Do you like having a public style toilet in your apartment' Look no further. Do you like the sound of bodily fluids being flushed around your apartment at all hours' Wall Street Tower is the place to be.
Maintenance Just think of the stereotypical maintenance man - that's him. He's prompt and gets the job done, but his level of quality is about as poor as it can get. When I first moved in I had no hot water in my bathroom shower; he replaced the plumbing and it works great, but the tilework he cut out and caulked (not grouted) back in sticks out a good half inch on one side. This place seems to have hot water issues; I have *warm* water in my kitchen, and periodically I will have to take a nice cold shower in the morning.
Heat The heating bill in the wintertime hovers around 100 dollars. It's pretty outrageous for a studio apartment. It is now July, and I just paid almost 30 dollars for heat. Residents have no control over the radiant heat. I've had my windows open 24/7 ever since the beginning of June. So why in the heck am I still paying for heat'
Overall It was clean and fresh when I moved in, aside from the well-used carpeting with rips and tears in it. The appliances are new and kitchen is new. Bathroom is small but functional. The view is great. There are a lot of pluses and a lot of minuses about this place but I'd have to say the overwhelming depressing feeling when I come home at night is too much. The windows are small and the building has a sad aura about it that I can't quite place. I need to get out. Aside from someone trying to break into my apartment, the old people smell in the elevator and lobby, the concierge, the office staff, the maintenance, the toilets, and small windows, it's a good place to live. It could be a lot worse, but it could be better.

I'm really wondering about these comments. Could you be so kind to dwell on the first parts of your comments? I'm concerning about cultural awareness of the staff involved. Thank You.
