Archstone Belltown formerly Wall Street Tower & Grosvenor House

I've lived here for almost 2 years. When I first moved in, I was very impressed with the place. Normal little issues here and there crept up but mgmt would always take care of it and the genre of folks moving in as well as the general feel of the place was always positive. If I wanted ritzy, I could pay a lot more somewhere else for less space. However, after Archstone took over, I cannot and will not recommend this place!! It's horrible. The concierge doesn't speak English. All she's good for is getting packages (I miss Edrie!!). There are holes in walls around my apt now. They proclaim to be dog friendly yet are threatening people with dogs off leashes and then charging more in pet rent. Renewal notice came up and they want the maximum possible (10%) in rate increase after a weekend of no hot water and filthy brown water the week before. I'm not sure what type people they're advertising to, but parties are nonstop around here on the weekends. I'm afraid to go out front at night b/c there's a bus stop *literally* in the drive way! I mean, c'mon!! The washing machines are from the '80's it seems...the people who run this place are betting on newbies to Seattle taking the first deal they see due to location, and apparently it's working. I, for one, am getting the heck out and putting my (increased) rent money to better use somewhere else. I'd advise you to do the same!

We've lived here the same amount of time as you. We are looking at moving also (I can't wait to have warm water, not scalding hot/freezing cold/brown). We've had some trouble finding a new place before April but I wish you luck! I am sorry you lost your home too!!
