I love this building.. bumps and all.

Brown water -- Yes, on occasion. Lack of hot water -- Yes, but it seems to have been fixed now. (last winter was a little rough in the mornings.) Slamming doors -- Yup, but that's not the building's fault; that's rude people.
This building is in a great location, right at the hub of South Lake Union, Belltown, Downtown, and Capitol Hill. Buses every 15 minutes, a convenience store in the building, lots of activities nearby. I work in the Columbia Tower, so can walk to work in 25 and bus in 20 - awesome!
The traffic noise is pretty loud from the third floor, but I've gotten used to it... rather like an urban symphony. Noise drift from other units is at totally acceptable levels; I hear toilets flushing and the occasional loud 80s music on Friday nights, but nothing else at all. Concrete construction is da bomb!
Maintenance has always tried to fix my problem within 24 hours and they're very courteous/friendly (I had a recalcitrant kitchen fawcet that just didn't want to be fixed quickly). Concierge and leasing staff are courteous and helpful - even when I locked myself out twice in one weekend. Have never had to wait for more than 20 minutes to get let back in and no charges.
Brand new laundry room now, which I love. Shiny new machines! And people leaving their laundry in the washer/dryer -- just take it out and leave it in a pile - serves them right for not being prompt. My machine now! Oh, and using SmartCards instead of quarters is brilliant.
Overall, love it. Yeah, it's a little spendy, but it's worth it to be down in all the action.
