I just want anyone out there looking for apartments to know that this place was not very friendly or courteous when queried.
I remember having visited a friend who lived at these apartments, and thought they were rather nice. Now that I am actively seeking a new place to live, I thought I would call and ask what was available:
First, the lady who answered was very cold and curt, and immediately asked: "HOW did you get THIS number'" I stammered a second before I told her it was listed on the apartment website as the contact/office number. I also repeated it back thinking perhaps I had misdialed.
Next, I asked if they had any two bedroom apartments available. She went on and on about details, wanting information from me, etc etc that I thought was unwarranted considering I was only checking availability. Finally, when she told me they had a corner unit available, I asked how much that ran. She did not give me a set "rent" price. THEIR PRICES ARE BASED ON HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE IN YOUR UNIT...INCLUDING CHILDREN. She told me that with two adults (and by the way, EVERY adult is required to be on the lease...even adult children) and one child, the apartment total would be $1020.
It turns out that because I'm an outside smoker, this place was a no-go anyways. But I wanted to share my telephone experience with people who may be considering this apartment because it seems like their rental rate practices may be a bit shady. That and, quite frankly, I felt quite unsettled just after talking to this woman on the phone.
