I am quite surprised to hear that Athena is such a hot-bed of gossip activity. I lead a boring life because I certainly didnt see any of that. I moved to Queen Anne since it was close to my work. I liked Athena because of the view, the location and (this sounds like I made it up or I work here, but I dont) because of Jessica and Linda at the Athena.
I am very particular about management and they were so great to me. I first met Jessica and hoped shed stay nice even after I signed the lease, AND SHE DID! I had a huge problem with my apartment upon moving in. The former tenant had small animals who used the floor as their own litterbox. The smell was awful. But I didnt have to fight to get it fixed. They cleaned it at least five times and even replaced the padding and sealed the floor. They wanted me to be satisfied. So much so that Jessica refused to let me say "Its fine, Ill just deal with the stink." She went out of her way to make sure I was happy. Months after I moved in, she kept reminding me that I could have maintenance paint an accent wall in my apartment any color I wanted. I regret I didnt do that! She worried about my well-being and thats rare.
I left Athena because I am being transferred to our Pierce County office. Even though there was a glitch with getting refunded for my deposit, Jessica and Linda are working hard to make sure I get my refund right away. Theyve taken great care of me.
For the record my boyfriend and I are currently talking about making Athena home should we move in together in 2004.
