I was a bit skeptical of the building having read some of the reviews below prior to renting, but I have to say that I'm quite shocked at some of the things written about the Athena.
The building is beautiful and apartments are competatively priced compared to others in the area. The views are AMAZING (especially from the rooftop deck... nearly 360 degress of beautiful Seattle and Elliot Bay). The apartments themselves are very well built and I have yet to hear any of my neighbors. The common areas of the building are well kept and quite comfortable and aestetically pleasing.
Parking was a big concern for me as I've had my car broken into and almost stolen at my previous residence. The parking garage here is very secure, well lit, and surveilled by ample cameras on each floor.
Maintenence has been on the spot with fixing any issues I've found (all minor) and very pleasant.
The office staff is amazing and are very attentive to tenants' needs. I had knee surgery a few months after moving in and both Linda and Jessica were great in helping me get around and even offered to pick up groceries and other items for me when I was laid up.
I really enjoy living here and would caution all prospective renters to take the negative reviews below with a grain of salt. Sometimes people create their own issues, even in the best of environments. Take a look for yourself!
