This placed used to offer the "personal touch". In recent times the apartment halls look shabby (it's only 3 years old. When you go visit a place, look carefully at the formica in the kitchen bar etc. Cheap. The manager seems to always be covering her back. (Cyndi was helpful...she's now left too). The shouted "hellos" when a prospective is in the office vs silence when that's not the case shouts nothing but phoniness. They also used to be cost competitive, not convinced that's the case anymore. Street noise is loud and makes all windows/balconies overlooking Western useless. The weekends are a little quieter (but ironically enough, not the nights). I've not been impressed over the last year. Although it's never been an issue for me, theft was rampant in the parking lot. (I heard rumor that had started again, not sure if it's true, they keep it on the "low down").
I ignored the fact that someone was shot here as I suggest you do too. However, I am concerned at the basic lack of service, effort to make your lease here "personal", and a general feeling that this place went from being premium to basic over the last year.
You don't get what you paid for.
