I am not certain why other entries would try to rationalize how customer service can suffer for the personal life of the manager. The rental market is far tooo competitive now for there to be anything less than a stellar performance from the manager. My experience is so frustrating that I question why I moved to Seattle. Here is a few of items that I have endured:
1. Consistantly, I left messages after moving in to have the blinds fixed. That was Nov 2002. It is now oct 2003 and the same broken blinds are in my apartment. Several times I have emailed and left messages to have this fixed to no avail. He came into my apartment once and closed them by hand. He said is that good' I said no, we cannot operate the blinds at all, they are still non operational. Frustrating trying to sleep-in on my one day off
2. Again leaving several messages and emails, I requested to get the toilet seat fixed. The hinges were broken when we moved in. I manage a facility, when things are broken, I have a 48 hr turnournd. I also work 12 hours a day M-F and 6 hours on Sat. I do not have time to fix even little items of this nature because of the hours. The seat is still broken, I have replaced it myself, I will be taking the new seat with me based on pricinple alone. Frustrating
3. The dishwasher makes the dishes dirtier after I put them in. Again I left numerous messages and emails. He asked if I rinse the dishes before I put them in there. I notified him that I am 30 and have been using dishwashers for 24 of those years. I clean the dishes before putting them in there. Not only does the heat dry not work but the rinse cylcle makes such a mess of the clean dishes I wonder if there is dirt in the drain. Frustrating.
4. We have friends that live in the building. They have moved from one apartment to the next and actually got a cheaper price on a 2 bed with a den that my one bedroom office. They are paying 2 hundred less per month than I am. I cannot believe how crooked this place is. I question if all business in Seattle is done in this fashon. Again Frustration.
I am not sure how much I have to go into but I can tell you this is just scraping the surface. I am soo upset about this, I am telling everyone that will have the patience to hear me out that this place has the worst client services that I have ever seen. This was my first apartment in Seattle and it doesn't give Seattle a very good impression. Save yourself the resentment and frustration of simple daily living by moving into a place far far away from Avalon Park Vista. 3233 Avalon Way is not worth it. There are soooo many better opportunities in West Seattle.
