When I rented this apartment, the on-site manager was great - fair, reasonable, repairs done quickly. But since he quit the job and they hired a new (terrible!) manager, "Bob," there have been multiple problems - smokers smoke in their units even though it's a non-smoking building, there was a cigarette-related fire in the pet area last summer which almost caught the building on fire, the new manager is a joke, they ignore tenants' requests, and the owner is a parasite. The building sits next to a high-crime area and every night you will hear something - street fights, car break-ins, cop sirens, ambulance sirens. Furthermore, the building is overpriced. This is the worst rental experience I've ever had. A word of caution: ---- Powelsland, the owner, is notorious for taking former tenants to small claims court for any reason whatsoever - know your lease to the letter and do a thorough walkthrough upon moving AND upon moving out. I got charged for damage done by the previous tenants. Trust me, rent somewhere else. - Former Tenant
