I'm curious who actually enjoyed living here, because its a crap hole. We have a fairly quiet apartment other than the aforementioned children screaming "Marco" "Polo" at all hours of the day. Because of the set up of the buildings, any sounds from the pool echo tremendously. Also, the management of hotel or the apartment building aren't too fast to lock up at night, so you also get the jerks partying at 11 pm by the pool.
A few words on the management - there's only two people I've seen so far and they're fairly apathetic to problems. The one that works during the week is okay, she doesn't return calls or solve problems but she's not as bad as the other one. We have a nickname for her but its not suitable to print.
There's a guy who lives near us that lets his pit bull run up and down the halls, but that doesn't seem to bother the management. The tenants vary from nice people who want to live close to work to immature morons who (and all of this has happened within the last six months) write naughty phrases in dust on cars, scratch offensive words into the elevator doors, break light covers in public areas and not clean it up, drop full beer bottles in elevators and not clean it up (neither did management, by the way), egg the elevator (who let 14 year olds in') and I'm sure there's much more I don't know about.
The one BIG upside to living here - it's close to downtown. If you chose to live here after reading all of these reports DON'T live on the Boren side, you'll never be able to open your windows during the summer because of the exhaust from all the traffic, and your apartment will be exactly one million degrees.
Another big upside is the maintenance guy. He's really great and usually stuff gets fixed pretty quickly. And if he can't fix it the first time, he keeps trying. Nice guy.
So, overall, go somewhere else. I doubt you'll ever use the pool enough for it to be an advantage and there are tons of nicer overpriced apartments in this area.
