ADVICE = DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! Besides being way too expensive the misrepresentations - lies - are abundant. Wooden floors = hearing every footfall, argument, tv, stereo, dogs barking so forget sleeping well. Management tells people apartments have concrete floors and "sound proofing" but this is outright lie. Rent prices include amenities like a pool and jacuzii...but they stopped working in March 08 and are not being fixed because "the hotel service won't respond to repairs needed" yet we are paying for it but can not use it. Location and grounds are ok but this place is ridiculus. No wsher/dryer and was told I could use other apts but found oops, all apts are rented...my tough luck! Outside gate door is totally broke so us renters can not exit or enter courtyard to enjoy the greenery. They won't fix the gate! Alarms go off blaring away 20 minutes at a time. My apt has flooded several times do to pathetic bandaid repairs and they won't replace my carpet that smells like mold. The bright rosy comments seem scripted by management to entice unsuspecting renters like me into 12 month locked leases. After that it is tough luck for us. I'm outa here when lease is over and can not wait. I got suckered! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place cause they don't care once they got you locked in.

Tamantha no longer works at Avanti; I never had any problems with her or Connie, but then I also never had to deal with them after getting the apartment except to pay rent and renew the lease. As for being locked out of the garage, they announce it the day before they change the garage codes (which is rare, usually when someone loses their opener), putting notices on every apartment door about it; I guess someone could get unlucky and be gone that day, so the next day their opener doesn't work until they get to their apartment. And was the lack of Washer and Dryer due to your flood? Seems like a special situation. I do agree with the emergency number, they only handle extreme emergencies - it was explained to me as "blood or flood".

I also rented a 1BR with no washer and dryer - - - - did you NOT realize when you looked at the apartment and/or signed the lease that it wasn't there? Seems to be that you signed the lease and have buyers remorse, which is nobodies fault but your own.
I lived there for 2 years and let me tell you - I MISS having managers that actually respond quickly to maintenance requests, will let your dog out for you and are continually proactive about the shape and general appearance of the building.
Garage issues happen from time to time, I've never lived a place where they didn't. I've also never lived at a place that emptied out the garage for a half day just to have it completely pressure washed and cleaned - they actually CARE about the building!
