Balfour Place Apartments

CRACK ALLEY From: BelleBoy Date posted: 9/24/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   Thats the name that my friends and I have given balfour place. Over the past year I have forgotten that the complex i lived in was actually named "Balfour Place". I had gotten so used to refering to it as "Crack Alley" that when people ask where i lived, i really had to think. Balfour Place really is crack alley...all because of the fact that you see the widest variety of cracked out people that you'll ever see! 1st avenue near the lusty lady or near deja vu doesn't even have this many crack addicts. These folks stroll into the building behind you as you enter throught the gate and front door. Yeah, I could have told them to stay out, but i was scared out of my mind that they would kill me cause they wouldn't be able to get up to their many crack outlets on any of the floors. Other problems include; poor management...whenever there was a manager and trust me, there was a period where there wasn't any manager here to deal with problems, all you had was completely rude leasing agents that really didn't know how to count to the number 2! Furthermore, they have a maintance crew that couldn't maintain fixing a light bulb!!!! The elevators...or should i say the only elevator of two that worked on a part time basis, was always marked up with offensive remarks and symbols such as swastikas and --- slurs. Oh and did i forget to mention the all too common findings of fecis on the elevetor floor and the constant sounds of women being beat to bloody pulps by their drug dealers' yeah thats fun to see, blood on the hallway walls. GREAT!!! FUN TIMES LET ME TELL YOU!!! Yeah, their were inconsiderate people blarring their music, but they were probably just doing so to drown out the crack addicts next to them. I know i would. This place really should be shut down. I dont understand how its still open. Other problems, lets see...the fire alarms going off on basically a daily basis, the bum and slummy people harrasing you for money or a cigarette....i wouldn't even wish this place on my worst enemy!!!! My advice to anyone looking for a place, stay away from crack alley and any building ran by tecton. I can assume that the other buildings owned by them are just the same.... be careful of crack alley....er....balfour place.
