Campus Heights and other apartments listed on www.uwhousing.net are the same. We lived in Adams Court. We signed a 1 year contract with the original of the Adams Court building and during our contract it was sold to University Housing. They do a lot of remodeling and we did not get to use the porch. Our original rent was approximate $1000 for a 3 tiny little bedrooms (college dorm room type) and after University bought the Adams Court, they send us letter stating that the 2009 new contract will be $1600 per month! We reply by mail the we will move out when our contract is over! ! $600 increased? crazy? I would say 80% residents decided to move out. We still have 6 more months on the contract, and they already told us that they will be showing people...
When the contract expired, a lot of people view the apartment but noone wanted to rented the place for that price! So they decreased the price from 1600...still no or not much renter to 1380 or so, and finally 1300 and still mostly empty. When we moved out, we cleaned everything! Our original deposit was $1200, but they only give us back $450! I spoke to other residents there and they also were very upset! In my honest opinion, I believe they take it out on the old tenant deposit because they are not getting any new tenant to occupy the complex and they are paying high price to the bank for owning the mortgage.

LESSON LEARNED: DON'T FALL FOR THEIR $100 CARPET CLEAN AND ONE MONTH DEPOSIT BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT THAT ONE MONTH DEPOSIT BACK!
After reading this message and you still want to rent from them, then I suggest you take of the place, the door, tiny tiny mark on carpet, little scratches, what was installed on the wall... the floor, the whole apartment, basically, take as much pictures and make them sign on the back of all pictures.... because if you don't they will mark you down for thing you didn't do when you move out.
