I Hate It Here

I lived here for a full year, and after finagling with all the hoops to get in in the first place, I could not say that I was happy. The noise was terrible (I could hear the bars and my neighbors all night long) due to super-thin walls, and the management was terrible. I told them who I found them through (Rent.com), but when they tried to call and give me my reward of 100 dollars for using them, the youngest assistant told them I'd used another site.
It was far too overpriced. I was paying 500 a month with shared water utilities bills, and that was just for a studio apartment. No matter how much water I conserved, the bill was still outrageous, and the gas and electric bills were not worth the hassle, since they had no air conditioning on the hottest summer in Seattle in ages.
The maintainance team was not terrible, but unreliable. The washers often broke, and you were offered no compensation. The only good experience I had in the apartment were that my neighbors were extremely friendly.
My move-out was a nightmare. I moved from Seattle to Dallas, and after cleaning the apartment twice and being told by the newest office assistant that my work was perfect, I still received little to nothing of my deposit back. They even tried to charge me for throwing away a mattress (which I never owned, and besides, I sold all my furniture), nearly $1000 dollars!
It was horrid. The location may be good, but that was one of the only perks. No parking, bad managing team, set in the middle of a bar-scene and in a shoddy neighborhood. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH
