We live in the Centennial Court (a 7-story newer unit in front of the Centennial Plaza Tower) and have been very happy here so far. There are some pro's and con's...I'll list them below:
Pro's:
-They will work a deal with you...we got $150/mo. off our place, $50 off the parking, and a free storage locker.
-The location is excellent; 20 minute walk to downtown Seattle, 10 minute walk to the water front, 5 minute walk to the Space Needle; right on a major bus line.
-The office staff is very friendly and helpful; we have never had any problems.
-VERY WARM!!! We didn't use our heat all through the winter!
-Mostly quiet...except a few things I will list below.
-Secure enterance and parking.
-Nice sized enclosed pool, hot tub, sauna, and a fairly decent fitness room.
-They let you paint the walls any color you want, as long as you paint them back to original (they even supply the white paint!)
-Newer building, I think it was built in 2000'
-Very nice roof top deck, view of the ocean and space needle.
Con's
-Party palace. I hate apartment parties, and the age of most tenants is in the 20's. There is a rooftop deck and some nights people take it over and party very loudly. It sucks.
-All units facing 3rd Ave, Wall St, and Vine St, have nice views and are quiet. All the other units facing the alley, or the "courtyards" are loud from cars and the trashman. Also, there is nothing to look at except walls or other people's windows.
-There is a $150 administration fee non-refundable that is due upon 1st months rent. There are a lot of office staff here, a doorman 7days a week, and daily baked cookies in the lobby. This is all fine, but it has to get expensive...and we are paying for it.
-The doors in the hall slam.
-The community lounge (large TV, couches, etc) usually gets taken by college age guys who drink beer and watch football. No thanks.
Overall, we have been happy here, at least since we painted the walls. I do not think we will continue our lease however...
