TO: APARTMENT RATINGS:
The "opinion" entered by "juliesteil", Date: 3/4/2004, was not entered by a resident or tenant, but rather by management, trying to downplay the outrage to their criminal activities and general dishonesty and unprofessionalism. We thought you (Apartment Ratings) only allowed TENANTS or those who have LIVED in the building (at the mercy of management) to comment on their building. If you are going to allow landlords in this forum, you need to change the name of the service you provide. Let the landlords respond to their tenants on a one-to-one basis, like they're supposed to. If management wants to take out an ad as a commercial entity, let them pay for it in an appropriate forum, like any other commercial entity. This isn't supposed to be advertising space for landlords' propaganda, it's supposed to be a clearinghouse for tenants who want to tell other tenants about their experiences in any given property. Regarding Julie's (Julie Fite's) assertion that the only angry tenants are those who trashed their apartments and then didn't get their deposits back, we suggest the reader peruse the following url: http://www.centennial-tower.com/ (scroll to the link: "So, you think you're getting your deposit back"). Undoubtedly there are tenants who fall into this group (trashing their apartments and then retaliating for their missing deposit. However there are many more tenants who were simply stolen from with regard to their deposits. This outfit (Apex) still, STILL doesn't get it-- They're not going to win the respect of their tenants by more rhetoric, more dishonesty, more smarmy, cutesy incompetence, wheedling, whining, limp-wristed explanations and excuses. They need to simply start doing the job. Since it is our opinion that DOING THE JOB is utterly and completely beyond their capabilities, they should, for the good of the building, Just. Go. Away. Present management isn't up to the task, and never will be.
