We just moved out of Centennial. We paid a lot to live there, and while it wasn't a total slum, it just wasn't worth the rent we were paying. First, the service is ho-hum. I can't tell you how many times I would be stuggling with my bag of groceries (you have to go through two doors to get in) and there would be several people in the office watching me. I think there are over a dozen staff members there and you know, I'm not sure what they do for the residents. They always seemed to be sitting around and not doing much to help the residents. I always wondered how much of my rent went to their salary. The doorman was there maybe 50% of the time - the other times just sort of milling about.
The view from our apartment was beautiful, but the quality of the unit was very poor. THere was NO storage and the kitch made me crazy with no counter space and a bar that was too small to be used for anything. Bathrooms also had zero counter space. The ceilings also developed large cracks that grew over time. Overall, not a well-built building. Parking also was insane with these tiny spots that made us crazy.
