Expensive and Poorly Laid Out

Overall this was not a bad place to live. I had good experiences with the management and maintenance guys, and they allow dogs. However, several negative things stand out. The major one is noise. The windows are single paned and the walkways are some sort of traction vinyl on top of wood or concrete, which might be tolerable if the bedrooms weren't next to the walkways. My roommate and I got majorly shafted in particular because we were shown a different "model" apartment, but when we moved in we had been given one with the bedrooms located directly across from the elevator. I had to sleep with a fan and ear plugs. We also had problems with the people above and below us playing their stereos loudly at all times of the day and night. The apartment also has a large trash compactor, which the maintenance guy liked to run at 10:00 p.m. The guys below us were asked to move out after we repeatedly complained about the smell of pot coming up into our apartment. Tenants have to pay for W/S/G in addition to monthly rent, which is ridiculous.
