Yo!

Not worth the aggrevation of renting here

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2004

We lived at Centre Court apartments for over 3 years since the building first opened.

Pluse's of the property:
Great kitchen with modern appliances and tons of storage.
Nice views of the sound and/or downtown
Can not hear neighbors above you unless they really pound the floor.

Negative's of the property:
Submetered water by Minol Mtr - always overcharged us by 2000 - 3000 gallons of water each month and took months/years to get it credited. We waited a year to finally get one credit. Unfortunately you can't just not pay the bill or else you are late on rent and they can evict you. The water submetering is tied to your lease.

Building is not maintained propertly. Elevator is often dirty and the trash room often is gross.

Property management takes weeks to months to fix items in your apartment. I waited over 8 months to get a mini-blind in my apartment repaired. I waited 2 months to get a fixture in the kitchen repaired. Once I had to get plumbing repaired in the bathroom and had to threaten them with hiring plumbers and deducting it out of my rent before they would repair it. Other tenants also have had the same experience with the repair time because at first I just thought it was me.

One of the property managers if confronted will actually yell at you and treat you like scum. This is the main reason we finally moved.

Response time calling the Landlord will take days so finally I learned I had to go down to their office and just sit in the lobby till they would help me.

Apartments on the downtown side are extremely hot during the summer and are not well insulated.

Apartments facing the Space Needle deal with frequent visits from the homeless and people urinating in the alley right by the building.

Building is not secure even though they claim it is. Several cars in the secure parking garage were broken into and one was almost stolen.

So as you can see the negatives outweigh the positives and for the money that you spend. 1800.00 for a 2 bedroom you could easily find a better managed building with the same amentities

Update:
On our moving out inspection day we received a call 2 minutes before our appointment. They told us they were going to have to re-schedule for later that day. Well we were only a block away so we went in and confronted the landlord. He said he didn't have the 5 minutes of time to do the walk thru and that we would have to come back later in the day. Well we couldn't since we both work so we left our keys and not knowing the status of our move out. We were tenants for 3 years and the landlord could not take 5 minutes to do the walk thru nor say good bye to us.
