It looks like the superstructure of a big ship from the outside, but for the money and location it's a great value. No milew problems for me. The 1 bedroom apartment is basic, but the walls are clean and straight, appliances in my unit are very clean and look no more than 10 years old. It looks clean which is really important to me. The rug and linolium might be a bit old, but still it's clean. Overall there is a bit of a college dormatory feeling to the place, but the hot water comes on instantly and you never have to wait for it. A hot shower always a couple seconds away. Lighting is pretty good, but requires a couple of good floor lamps if you really need a lot of light. But the windows do let plenty of light in. There is a lot of good closet space too. The tile in the bathroom is old, yet it is really clean for the age, and the sink and bathtub don't have chipped enamel. Really clean for the age which I assume is circa 1960. Down the street about 3 or four blocks there is a convenience store, and down the street from that is Peets, a really great independent grocery store and a great wine shop. Plenty of parks are close by, as well as Romios Pizza and Pasta restaraunt and the Eastlake Bar and Grill which are within walking distance. Access to I-5 is really easy, and the streets are pretty well maintained. I really like the apartment and recommend it!
