First of all, don't believe that one bad review is indicative of everyone's experience. I had a great 2 year run at the 'Nado and would move back in a heartbeat. The rent is simply way too cheap! I was paying $550 2 years ago and $580 when I left, plus electric. Your very own parking spot is about $50/month, but be careful, mine was broken into (which is fairly rare there since you can see your car from your bedroom window). My visiting friends were always able to find a parking spot on Eastlake Ave.
The rooms are huge and walled with cinder-block, so it won't burn down and there's very little noise from your neighbors. Lots of closet space and kitchen shelf space.
The manager Karen is very nice and helpful, as long as you aren't one of those idiots lighting fireworks and throwing them off the balcony. My work requests were finished promptly.
As far as the mold issue' I wasn't affected by it very bad. Yes, a few times a year I had to scrub around my window with some Tilex. I mean, that's what you get when you live less than 100 yards from the water, fool! I got all of my deposit back.
The worst part about living here was the oppressive summer HEAT on the higher floors. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I had bought one of those window fans.
All said, this is by far THE place to be if you want to live in eastlake and not pay a fortune. I loved it!
