Invasion of Privacy and Poor Management

The management and maintenance staff are not so friendly or helpful. First, you'll find that management is hard to get a hold of. Although their hours clearly state 9 to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 5pm on Satruday and Sunday, you'll find that they close the office at hours at a time.

Second, management and maintenance will tell new potential residents that their soon to be unit will be upgraded. But often the carpet and light fixtures aren't replaced. Plus, management will only be nice to you until you sign your lease. Soon afteward, they are very reluctant to help you.

One thing manangement has faild to tell new residents is their plans for remodeling. If I was informed of this remodel, yet to occur but soon will, I would have elected to continue my search for another apartment. In the past year, we've dealt with being kicked out of our apartments for two or three days in a row, 8 hours each day, so that construction workers can come in and do some work on our windows. In my opinion, it was a waste of time and money because there isn't much of a difference from the old windows and the new ones. Plus, they still let in a draft. At the same time, we dealt with the hallways being recarpeted and repainted, which isn't a bad thing except that there was no effort to keep the hallways cleaned while the work was being done. Often, the contractors played loud music in the hallways while they worked. Now, we just been informed of a remodel that will take place inside each unit in the near future. But a remodel inside of our units seems unnecessary considering we already live here and it isn't work that needs to be done. Plus, the units are already small that I really don't see what they could remodel ... Did I mention that these units aren't worth the rent they ask for' Management never informs us of why they plan on entering our apartments. The notice simply says, "We will be entering your apartment" and list the date they plan on entering. But no reason for them entering is ever given. A notice that states they are entering our apartments, but without any reason given, implies that we are in some sort of violation.
