There is a reason the apartments here are so cheap. The place is a wreck. During a FRIDAY afternoon, I walked in through the lobby of my building, and there was a homeless man passed out from shooting herion on one of the armchairs. He was still there (even after I had called management) 4 hours later. I had to call the police myself to have him removed.
The building does not feel safe.

There are too many young, disrespectful, kids living here. The fire alarm is pulled at least once a week in the middle of the night.

The building is not maintained very well. The apartments are dingy and unkempt. We had major leak in the framing of one of our windows. The apartments have no air circulation and are constantly stuffy.

Once again, I lived here for 5 years. The apt is constantly being re-modeled, from the weight rooms to the elevators to all new furniture in the lobby, painting enire inside of building almost once a year, re-carpeting once every few years, etc.

I doubt the story about the homeless man. I never saw one inside in five years. I do remember someone going around breaking into cars in the garage, but the security there eventually cornered him and had him arrested. The security company headquarters is only two blocks away, and they are on constant patrol, especially at night.

The fire alarm is not pulled once a week, that is B.S. In five years, the alarm has gone off probably 10 times, half from someone pulling it, and half from something real (fire/smoke in apt, etc.)
