I Loved This Place

I was surprised at some of the bad reviews. Of course it has been a few years since I lived there but I have recently considered returning b/c I loved the place so much. Julia is super quirky but I liked her. It was a quiet place to live and the apartments are absolutely beautiful. Capitol hill is not an extremely safe neighborhood but it is not the worst. I never felt threatened and I am a female. You just have to use common sense. My current neighborhood is way worse.
I had a 1 bedroom apartment and never heard my neighbors except if they left their doors open. Many of the apartments have chandeliers, original kitchens with leaded glass cupboards, mahogany trim, and hex tile counters. The windows are original and so are the sinks and bathtubs. The elevator is old style and super cool. I have thought frequently about moving back there.
The only downside were the trust fund kids in their early 20's. There were a couple of them on my floor and they got on my nerves to say the least!!!!! Although they are probably gone now.
The bar on Howel and Belmont could be a problem. It wasn't super busy when I lived there. I would rec a studio on the South or West side of the building if you are worried about the noise.
