Not bad at all

I've lived here for almost 4 years. I checked out quite a few other apartment complexes in the north end before deciding on Executive Estates. I chose it because of the convenient location, the glen-like landscaping (lots of trees) and the professionalism of the staff, who are friendly and competent. The complex is a bit noisy in the mornings at times with lawnmowers and leaf blowers, but most people are at work during this time. The downsides are the aging 60s or 70s vintage fixtures which are definitely due for an update. Also the plumbing is barely adequate, water pressure is good but the toilets flush poorly and there are often problems with them, at least in my building. Parking is barely adequate, if you get home late in the evening you may have to park quite a distance from your building. I've always felt safe here, the grounds are well-lighted and the neighbors are nice people.
The maintenance staff is great, they respond very quickly to complaints and fix things as soon as they can. When my fridge died they brought another one in right away. Other perks include the cabanas which can be used by residents for free, swimming pools and fitness rooms.
