could be worse, but for what we pay...

My boyfriend and i have lived here about a year and a half, and can't wait to move! In the time that we have lived here, our rent has been raised a total of $200, we have had ants twice, and constant mold growning in our bedroom window sil. I seen another review about mold, and then a comment on how they should keep their place clean. I can tell you that comment is probably from one of their snotty office staff. Our apartment is VERY clean, and I can't control the mold that grows in the window sil that was obviously not sealed properly in the first place. And the ants were horrible. They were coming out of the walls, and they were everywhere. Kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in my bed! The maintenence staff came out to fix the problem, but it took a few weeks for the ants to go away, and now we have holes in the lower part of our bedroom/bathroom/livingroom walls that are quite ugly, and are just an open invatation for other creatures to crawl thru. Infact, it was this time last year that we got ants, and now we have them again. It is truely frustrating, especially when you maintain a clean apartment.
The staff is rude. When we first moved in, they were great, but now, I can't even believe that anyone would hire these people. They could care less about you. Especially the girl with the short hair that always changes the color... Grrrr... I cannot remember her name if my life depended on it, but her customer service skills are lacking, and she is not very professional in my opinion. She always throws me attitude when I go to money on our laundry card. And I have even heard her bad mouth me as I was leaving in my "laundry day" attire. I think trash talking the people who pay rent, which in turn pays your bills, is unacceptable.
Parking is horrible. Wait, let me rephrase that, the FREE parking is horrible. Parking is offered, but at a rate of $15 per month for uncovered, and $25 per month for covered. I think that for as much as we pay here, good parking for residents should be free. I can understand a charge for covered. Some days I end up parking down the street because all of the free parking is gone. And our building in on a hill, so when you have a car full of groceries, but no where near the building to park, it makes for a tough experience.
Also, the maintenence staff accused my boyfriend and I of stealing the airfreshner thing in our hallway, and when we told the front office, they said that "Their staff would never do such a thing, and that if we have it, we should give it back"... Are you serious' The hallways stink, not our apartment. What would we need with that' We actually enjoyed having it there! The hallways smell like a combination of must, butt, and garbage, so it was nice to come home to a fresh scent. Luckily, we had the note their little angel of a maintenence man put on our door. And although they appologized for the note, it should have never been put there in the first place.
The positives about this place is the secured buildings, (even tho our buzzer hasn't worked since we moved in, and we have put in requests for it to be fixed), the grounds are well kept, and there is an indoor pool/hot tub.
