I found the First Hill Apartments to be totally unlivable--even for a short-term stay. The rooms were NOT kept up well at all and the beds were hard as a rock. The rooms also looked and smelled dirty, the couches were worn and grimy and the furniture was really old and not well-cared for. There were a lot of other problems too--like closets that were off the track, stained & burned upholtery and bedding, the contantly smoky smell and the fact that the elevator smelled like someone spilled their bowels in it. Never once while I was there did I see a housekeeper or maintenance man. Also, the part of the city where this place is felt really unsafe to me. Considering the other neighborhood options (which I unfortunatley found out about later), the rates were way too high. I absoltely DO NOT recommend this place.
