maintenance man found sleeping in my apt''' From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/13/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   In May I put in an work order for a kitchen fan not working, it also had an electrical smell and came home June 11th around 1:00 PM to find a maintenance man sleeping in my apt. The lights were out and his tool bag was closed in the hallway. I told the manager and was questioned by the general mgr, the asst mgr, the head of security and the head of maintenance. This was uncomfortable for me and also made me late for work. I later told them I wanted out of my lease and he said I would have to pay a $1500 penalty and that he had done everything I had asked of him. I did not ask hime to take two weeks to fix an electrical problem, have a guy sleep in my apt or to fire the individual. I just want to move without a penalty, is that too mcuh'
