To begin, the positives: rent is affordable, and the neighborhood (while not terribly classy or interesting) is safe and clean. The manager lives onsite, and each apartment comes with a parking space, which is typically located as close to the unit as possible.

The negatives: Noise is a serious problem, due to the construction and layout of the buildings; each pair of buildings forms a courtyard walled on both sides by wooden buildings... even the slightest noise in these courtyards bounces and echoes such that it's loudly audible whenever any windows are open. The low rent and residential neighborhood mean that a lot of small families take residence here, and the summers are thus almost unbearably loud - underparented children screaming at the top of their lungs during all daylight hours. Again, due to the buildings' layout, activities in apartments across the courtyard are also painfully obvious; should you (like me) find yourself living across the yard from a (shall we say) romantically active individual, you will be treated to a full audio show.

The walls and floors are thin, and you will hear every footfall of your upsttairs neighbor if you live on the ground or second floors.

My car was only broken into when parked outside the complex at the visitor parking area, but many parking lot bumps and scrapes have happened due to the relatively tight layout of the lot.
