I like this building but it's a shame it's managed by the current manager, Jeff. You'll be fine if you live here so long as nothing goes wrong, i.e. plumbing, radiator-heat, etc. He won't want to help you and will wait until you're ready to repair the building yourself as best as you know how. He lied about the noise in the area, the ambulances DO sound their alarms all the time. He is one of the shadiest landlords ever. I don't have a car but the garage is filled with dusty cars so I assume it's available to the ones who've been there for a long time.

You must be a jerk or something cause jeff always helps us as soon as he knows there is a problem. The real problem with the apartment is that he is now renting to low class hipster trash like you.

I have lived in the building for six years, and I haven't had a problem with the management or maintenance staff. I also haven't seen anyone residing at the Alden who fit the description of 'low class hipster trash'. My opinion is that the John Alden is a wonderful place to live and access downtown Seattle with a short walk.
