I lived here for 5 years. When the new owners took over, they sent around a sheet where we were supposed to list the deposit we had originally paid when we moved in. I don't know why the lease I signed wasn't good enough- I still had a copy of that. But I filled out the sheet as required. When I moved out recently, I was told that they didn't have a copy of this sheet, and therefore there is no deposit on file and I won't be getting one back. This seems like it should be illegal. I still have the original lease that I signed, but was told by management that this doesn't count any more because of the new owners. DO NOT LIVE HERE THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER.

I know this ex-tenant and he is very jaded due to having to file bankrupcy and having been late on rent nearly every month for two years. Being allowed to leave without any penalties seems like a very kind gesture. However, seems like you can't please everyone.
